The British Academy of Fencing is sad to hear of the death of Bob Turner, a long time and valued member of the fencing community.  Bob was chairman of Welsh Fencing for many years and a highly respected fencer and administrator who will be missed by his many friends in the sport.  We send our heartfelt condolences to his family at this time

The British Academy of Fencing (BAF) is the acknowledged teaching organisation for training fencing coaches in the United Kingdom. The Academy has its roots steeped in history and traces its charter back to Henry VIII. We provide a comprehensive programme of support and training for fencing coaches, where well established and recognised skills are practised alongside an understanding of the needs of modern coaches with today's competitive fencers.

We provide a system of training for coaches of all levels from beginner to full Fencing Master and can provide all the help that is needed in becoming a fencing coach.
