46 years coaching experience Trained with Bill Harmer-Brown in London, Maitre Czajkowski in Poland, Maitre Donadieu in France and Bob Anderson in England. Coach at Thames Fencing Club Coach at London Fencing Club Assistant National Coach from 1973 to 1976 Attended Montreal Olympics as Assistant National Coach Moved to New Zealand in 1979 --Appointed National Coach to New Zealand Between 1980 and now I travelled extensively with New Zealand fencers to International tournaments, the World Championships and in 2004, one of my pupils was the first to qualify to represent New Zealand at the Olympic Games. (Prior to that time, some fencers had been allowed to attend under the national 'quota' system.) I have worked extensively in coach education in both New Zealand and Australia. I am recognised as a Maitre d'Armes by the Australian Academy of Fencing and have sat on their coach examining board. My pupils have achieved many National and Australasian gold medals, both individual and team, at all three weapons.
