Streatham Fencing Club
Streatham Fencing Club are looking for a coach available on Thursday evenings from 6-9PM?
They are ideally looking for someone confident in coaching epee and sabre as these are the clubs 2 main weapons, though they do also have the odd foilist. They would also consider someone that would be comfortable taking on beginners classes, though (mostly steam foil and a short 5 week course in electric F,E&S).
The coach will be responsible for juniors classes (age 8+) which run from 6-7PM, assisted by our other coach, Alan Grafton from 7:30 and will either coach the experienced adults (for an experienced Epee/Sabre coach) or take the adult beginners from 7-9PM.

Three Weapon Coach required for the Island of Jersey, Channel Islands
Due to our current lead coach moving to new challenges, Jersey Fencing, the governing body of the sport here, requires a new fencing coach to continue to successfully develop and promote the sport.
Currently fencing is built around Regent Fencing Club (adults and juniors), coaching in schools, and private lessons. The States of Jersey also fund a midi-fencing programme in Primary schools and beginners sessions for youngsters.
The position is self-employed. As well as suitable coaching ability (L2/3), where we would expect applicants to be able to conduct technical sessions, footwork, lead warm-ups and fencing specific fitness training they would also be required to have energetic and creative skills to market themselves and build, manage and maintain their own fencing coaching business. There are no other coaches active in this way in Jersey, so we believe that this role presents a unique and interesting opportunity for a coach to have their own exclusive patch and run their own fencing business.
