The British Academy of Fencing
 
The BAF will be running a coaching and performance course over the 3rd and 4th of September 2011 at Staffordshire University, Stoke on Trent
The theme of the weekend will be the tried and tested method of tactical coaching developed by the BAF based the extensive national and  international experience of its most senior masters.  This method has produced successful fencers at all levels from the England and British Youth Championships right up to World Championship level and may be employed effectively with fencers of all ages and levels of ability.  More information here

We would like to congratulate Andy Wilkinson (BAF Committee member) on his upcoming fim "Billy the Kid - Birth of a Legend".  It looks fantastic and we are sure it will be a big success.  Trailer and more info can be found here
 
 
It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Provost Ian Keeble at Kingston Hospital,  on Saturday June 4th, after a long illness.  Ian was a respected and long standing member of the Academy and our thoughts and sympathies are with his  family. 
Ian will be cremated on Wednesday 15th June at 2-10 pm at
Kingston Cemetery

 Kingston

After there will be a celebration of Ian life and drinks at  the  New Malden Tennis, Squash and Badminton Club. Somerset Close. New Malden. KT3 5RG.This will start at about 3-30 pm.

 On May 14th and 15th, Prof Philip Bruce, assisted by Prof Isobel Combes ran a weekend coaching course at Guy Windsor's School of European Swordsmanship.  More details here
